Knicks at Clippers picks and predictions
Prediction
Clippers 124, Knicks 117
Moneyline
The Clippers (-225) will cost you more than 2 times your potential return, and that's just too much risk for not enough reward.
The Knicks (+188) are flying high after a nice win in Phoenix Friday, but that's the rub. New York just played an emotional game against a tough opponent less than 24 hours ago, and now it has to do it again. The Knicks are 2-3 SU/ATS in 5 games this season when playing on no rest.
PASS.
Against the spread
The CLIPPERS -6 (-108) are a solid play at home, as they look to avenge an earlier loss by 14 points at MSG back in early November.
Los Angeles is in a much better place as a team. It was just working Harden into the mix in that first game in New York. The team has had tremendous chemistry lately, and with or without PG13 in the lineup Saturday, L.A. should be able to get the job done.
Over/Under
OVER 228 (-108) is probably the best play on the board.
The Over has connected in 7 straight games for the Knickerbockers, and New York just dropped 139 points in Phoenix Friday night. That was easily a season best, and the Knicks are good for 136 or more points in 2 of the past 3, and 122 or more points in 4 of the past 5 outings.
While the Under easily cashed in the first meeting, both of these teams are in different places at this juncture. The Clips have hit the Over in 2 of the past 3, and the offense is good for 117 or more points in each of the past 4 contests.
