Washington Commanders at Los Angeles Rams odds, picks and predictions
The Washington Commanders (4-9) face the Los Angeles Rams (6-7) on Sunday. Kickoff from SoFi Stadium will be at 4:05 p.m. ET (CBS). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook's lines around the Commanders vs. Rams odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.
The Commanders were off last week, 1 of 2 teams with a bye in Week 14. At 4-9, they're not technically eliminated from playoff contention, but they're 2 games behind the 7th seed in the NFC so they're unlikely to make it. They come into this game having lost each of their last 4, including their last 3 all by at least 12 points.
The Rams lost a heartbreaker to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 14, falling in overtime, 37-31. They're currently 8th in the NFC at 6-7, so this is a game they can't necessarily afford to lose. The Rams had won 3 in a row before losing to the Ravens, including victories over the Seattle Seahawks and Cleveland Browns.

Commanders at Rams picks and predictions
Prediction
Rams 27, Commanders 17
Moneyline
Despite being below .500 and facing a team coming off a bye, the Rams (-300) are heavily favored against the Commanders. It's a sign of how poorly Washington has been playing, losing its last 4 games, including the last 3 by a total of 77 points.
Despite the Rams playing as well as they are, the -300 ML doesn't provide enough value to bet. PASS.
Against the spread
This is the 2nd-most points the Rams have been favored by all season. In their last game as at least 6.5-point favorites, they easily covered the 7.5-point spread against the Arizona Cardinals. They won that game 26-9 back in Week 6.
This isn't a must-win game for the Rams, but a loss will drop their playoff odds significantly. Take the RAMS -6.5 (-110) to cover and beat the Commanders, who own the worst defense in the NFL.
Over/Under
Combined, the Over is 14-12 in the Rams' and Commanders' games this season. The Over is 8-5 for Washington and 6-7 for Los Angeles, so there isn't a real strong trend to follow.
As bad as the Commanders defense is, the Rams' unit is playing relatively well. And 50.5 is a high number for these 2 teams; the Rams are 10th in points scored and the Commanders are 23rd. BET UNDER 50.5 (-110).
