Anthony Joshua vs. Otto Wallin odds, picks and predictions

In a 12-round heavyweight bout, former unified champion Anthony Joshua meets Otto Wallin on Saturday in the co-main event at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. DAZN's "Day of Reckoning" preliminary fights begin at 11 a.m. ET, with the main card beginning at approximately 4 p.m. ET. Let's analyze BetMGM Sportsbook's lines around the Joshua vs. Wallin odds, and make our expert boxing picks and predictions.

Records: Joshua (26-3-0, 23 KOs) | Wallin (26-1-0, 14 KOs)

Joshua has rebounded with a pair of victories after consecutive losses to Oleksandr Usyk in 2021 and 2022. He picked up a unanimous-decision win against Jermaine Franklin at O2 Arena in April and pushed past Robert Helenius in a 7th-round knockout last time out in August.

Wallin has picked up 6 straight wins since a unanimous-decision loss to Tyson Fury in Las Vegas back in Sept. 2019. The big Swede wasn't quite ready for primetime, but perhaps this time will be different. He has ended up going the distance in each of the past 5 fights, including a split-decision win over Murat Gassiev at the Regnum Carya Hotel in Antalya, Turkey in September.

Anthony Joshua vs. Otto Wallin picks and predictions

Fight result (3-way line or moneyline)

Joshua (-350) will cost you 3½ times your potential return, and that's way too much risk for not enough reward.

You're going to want to look to the "method of victory", and JOSHUA BY POINTS (+140) is the way to go at plus-money. Wallin (+275) has ended up going the distance in each of the past 5 fights, but I don't think he has the ability to get it done against the former champ, although his time is certainly coming, and he'll give Joshua a very good test in this co-main event.

I also like playing YES (-110): WILL WALLIN BE KNOCKED DOWN? I think the Swede gets tagged at least once in this fight, but it won't be a decisive blow. He'll be able to recover to finish the bout.

Over/Under (O/U)

YES (-125): WILL THE FIGHT GO THE DISTANCE? isn't too costly, and not a bad play if you don't want to declare a winner, and simply want some action on the fight. No matter whether Joshua or Wallin wins, if it goes the distance, you win.

Over 11 Rounds (-190) is a little too expensive, costing nearly 2 times your potential return, and there isn't a lot of wiggle room.
