New England Patriots at Denver Broncos odds, picks and predictions
The New England Patriots (3-11) and Denver Broncos (7-7) meet Sunday night at Empower Field at Mile High. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. ET (NFL Network). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook's lines around the Patriots vs. Broncos odds, and make our expert NFL picks and predictions.
The Pats elevate to Mile High after narrowly missing a cover in a 27-17 defeat as 9.5-point underdogs to the Kansas City Chiefs last week. They failed to move the ball effectively as QB Bailey Zappe was 23-for-31 but just had 180 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT. RB Ezekiel Elliott rushed 11 times for 25 yards. New England is 4-10 ATS on the season and 2-4 ATS on the road. Coach Bill Belichick made some waves when it surfaced that he has no plans to resign, despite the team rumored to be moving on from him after the season.
The Broncos were corralled 42-17 by the Detroit Lions last week as 4.5-point underdogs. QB Russell Wilson was 18-for-32 for 223 yards, 1 TD, no INTs but 1 lost fumble. The numbers weren't as lopsided as the score was, but they just couldn't move the ball consistently and were 5-for-13 on 3rd down. They have lost 2 of 3 after their 5-game winning streak.

Patriots at Broncos picks and predictions
Prediction
Broncos 24, Patriots 20
Moneyline
There is no chance I'm putting -350 on the Broncos, especially when Belichick knows a thing or 2 about how to beat Wilson.
PASS.
Against the spread
The Pats are atrocious on offense, but I could see them scheming well enough defensively to get in Russ' head and win. The Pats have covered 2 straight. I'm not willing to make the leap on their ML, but I feel good about PATRIOTS +7 (-105).
Over/Under
It's slated to be 20 degrees with a possibility of snow showers Sunday night. That doesn't hurt the Patriots much, but the change in altitude is what gives the Broncos the nod for me. It's a small number, and it'll be close. The Patriots have scored 17, 21, 0, 7 and 6 points the last 5 games. Denver has averaged 19.33 points the last 3 games as well. The Pats hold the keys to this cashing, and I'm betting OVER 35 (-110).
