Best NFL underdog picks and predictions for Week 17
In Week 16 only 5 underdogs won their games outright, but a total of 9 covered the spread. What can we expect in Week 17?
Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook NFL odds and lines, and tab the best NFL Week 17 underdog bets to cash in on among SportbookWire's NFL expert picks and predictions.
After a bad 4-week run, my picks were 2-1. I missed on the Washington Commanders beating the New York Jets outright, although they did cover the 3-point spread. The Las Vegas Raiders not only covered the spread against Kansas City, they won the game, while the Baltimore Ravens not only covered the spread in their game against San Francisco, they won.
On the season, I am 24-23-1 with the weekly underdog picks.

RAIDERS +3.5 (-110) at Colts – 1 p.m. (CBS)
The Raiders are 5-1-1 ATS since the start of November when Antonio Pierce took over head-coaching duties. They have won 2 games in a row.
The Colts are in a 3-way tie at the top of the AFC South but have been blown out in 2 of their last 3 games, losing by 19 to Atlanta last week and by 20 to Cincinnati 3 weeks ago. They are 6-2 and 6-2 ATS over their last 8 games but Las Vegas is playing very tough right now.
PANTHERS +6.5 (-110) at Jaguars – 1 p.m. (CBS)
The Panthers have covered the spread in 3 of their last 4 games. Two of their last 3 losses have been by only 3 points and they had an upset win 2 weeks ago.
Jags QB Trevor Lawrence has an injured shoulder and his status is up in the air. Jacksonville is 0-4 ATS in its last 4 games.
PACKERS (+110) at Vikings – 8:20 p.m. (NBC)
The Vikings have struggled at home, going 2-5 at U.S. Bank Stadium. They have lost 4 of their last 5 overall.
The Packers snapped a 2-game losing streak with their win over Carolina last week, but they are 4-2 in their last 6 games.
Do you trust Jordan Love or Nick Mullens more at QB to fight for a postseason berth? I say Love.
