Arizona Bowl: Toledo vs. Wyoming odds, picks and predictions
The Toledo Rockets (11-2) and Wyoming Cowboys (8-4) meet in the Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl at Arizona Stadium on Saturday. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. ET (CW Network). Below, we analyze BetMGM Sportsbook's lines around the Toledo vs. Wyoming odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.
This is the 3rd-ever meeting between these schools, and the 1st-ever in a bowl game. Wyoming won the 1st meeting in Toledo in 2010 by a 20-15 score, while the Rockets returned the favor in Laramie in 2012, winning 34-31 as the Over cashed.
Toledo finished the season with 11 regular-season victories, but it suffered a loss in the MAC Championship Game against Miami (Ohio). To make matters worse, star QB Dequan Finn left via the transfer portal, as did RB Peny Boone. Finn passed for 2,651 yards, 22 TD and 9 INT, while Boone gobbled up a team-best 1,400 yards, 7.2 yards per carry and 15 TD. Finn was also 2nd on the team in rushing with 563 yards and 7 TD.
For Wyoming, the biggest departure news is from the coaching ranks, as coach Craig Bohl announced his retirement, and offensive coordinator Tim Polasek is leaving for North Dakota State. CB Kolbey Taylor, who had 22 total stops with 7 passes defensed across 9 games, was the only notable player to leave via the portal.
The Cowboys wrapped up the season with back-to-back wins and covers, outscoring Nevada and Hawaii by a combined 84-15. Wyoming was a respectable 5-2 against the spread (ATS) in the final 7 games, too, while the Over went 5-2-1 in the final 8 contests.

Toledo vs. Wyoming picks and predictions
Prediction
Wyoming 26, Toledo 20
Moneyline
WYOMING (-175) is a little on the pricey side on the moneyline, but if you don't want to mess around with the points, the Cowboys aren't priced out of line.
Toledo (+145) won 11 games for coach Jason Candle, but losing Finn and Boone is a titanic portion of the offense. It will be difficult for the Rockets to overcome the loss of arguably their 2 biggest stars.
Against the spread
WYOMING -3.5 (-105) is a decent play against Toledo +3.5 (-115), even laying the 3 and a hook, although I actually prefer the moneyline play which is more expensive.
I believe the Cowboys come out very emotional, doing whatever it takes to send Bohl off into the sunset with a victory in tow. The Cowboys were in this game last season, losing a heartbreaker to Ohio, another MAC team.
Wyoming looked really good in the final 2 outings, albeit against 2 non-bowl opponents. Still, QB Andrew Peasley is a gamer, and he had 20 TDs and just 5 INTs, with 403 rushing yards and 7 TDs. And, more importantly, Peasley is an experienced signal caller, and dual-threat option who is playing, and Finn is not. That will make a giant difference.
Over/Under
OVER 44.5 (-105) is the lean, but go with a half-unit play at most.
The Over went 5-2-1 in the final 8 games for the Cowboys, with the offense tallying 24 or more points in 6 of the final 8 outings. The defense allowed 15 or fewer points in 3 of the final 4 contests, but those were also outings against non-bowl teams.
The Under cashed in the MAC title game for Toledo, and it was 5-2 in the final 7 games, so there is some risk here. However, for what it's worth, the Over cashed in Toledo's only game this season as an underdog.
