CFP National Championship first look: Washington vs. Michigan odds and lines

The Washington Huskies (14-0) meet the Michigan Wolverines (14-0) Monday in the CFP National Championship Game at NRG Stadium in Houston. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET (ESPN). Below, we look at Washington vs. Michigan odds from FanDuel Sportsbook. Also see: SportsbookWire's college football picks and predictions.

The Huskies pushed past the Texas Longhorns 37-31 in the Sugar Bowl on New Year's Night, covering as 3.5-point underdogs with the Over (61.5) connecting. Washington QB Michael Penix Jr. passed for 430 yards and 2 TDs, while RB Dillon Johnson (21 carries, 49 yards) ran for 2 scores.

Washington registered 532 total yards of offense but also allowed 498 to Texas. The 3rd-down efficiency wasn't great for the Huskies, either, going just 3-for-11 in that category. The Huskies won the turnover battle with a plus-1.

The Wolverines needed overtime to beat the Alabama Crimson Tide 27-20 in the Rose Bowl earlier in the day. QB J.J. McCarthy threw for 221 yards with 3 TDs, and RB Blake Corum carried the ball 19 times for 83 yards, including the game-winning, 17-yard TD in OT.

Michigan piled up 351 total yards of offense, including 130 yards on the ground. The Wolverines were well disciplined, too, committing just 2 penalties for 25 yards. On 3rd-down efficiency, the Maize and Blue struggled, going just 2-for-11. Plus, they missed an extra point and had a couple of other missteps on special teams which will need to be cleaned up.

Michigan is No. 1 and Washington is No. 2 in the US LBM Coaches Poll powered by Paste BN Sports.
