Oklahoma City Thunder at Miami Heat odds, picks and predictions

The Oklahoma City Thunder (24-11) wrap up a 4-game road trip on Wednesday against the Miami Heat (21-15) at Kaseya Center in Miami. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET. Let's analyze FanDuel Sportsbook's lines around the Thunder vs. Heat odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: First meeting; Heat won 2-0 in 2022-23

The Thunder snapped a modest 2-game losing streak with a 136-128 win on the road against the Washington Wizards, although OKC failed to cover for a 3rd consecutive outing. The Over has hit in 4 in a row for the Thunder, while going 8-2 across the past 10 games overall.

The Heat posted a 120-113 win against the Houston Rockets on Monday, cashing as a 4-point favorite as the Over (218) connected. That snapped a 5-0 Under run for the Heat. Miami is just 1-2 against the spread (ATS) in 3 home games against Western Conference teams this season.

Thunder at Heat picks and predictions

Prediction

Thunder 120, Heat 112

Moneyline

The Thunder (-184) are a little on the pricey side, and OKC is probably a strong play since Butler will be sidelined yet again due to his foot injury, and Lowry is likely to join him. However, this is just too much juice for a road team.

AVOID, and look to the spread instead.

Against the spread

The THUNDER -4.5 (-108) are a strong play in South Florida, as they're simply the healthier team. There is some risk, as OKC has failed to cover each of the past 3 outings.

The Heat +4.5 (-112) are going to have a difficult time shutting down one of the best teams in the Western Conference, especially if Butler and Lowry are out. That's 2 players who have averaged a combined 31.9 PPG, and Miami doesn't have a lot of options to step up and fill the void.

Over/Under

UNDER 234.5 (-110) is a decent play, especially with the Heat missing Butler and his 21.0 PPG. The Under has cashed in 5 of the past 6 games for the Heat, while going 8-3 in 11 games against Western Conference teams this season.

For the Thunder, the Over has hit in 4 in a row, all against Eastern Conference teams, so be careful. The Under is 4-2 in the past 6 meetings between the Heat and the Thunder.
