Arizona State at Washington odds, picks and predictions
The Arizona State Sun Devils (10-5, 4-0 Pac-12) and Washington Huskies (9-6, 1-3) meet Thursday. Tip-off from Alaska Airlines Arena is set for 11 p.m. ET (FS1). Below, we analyze FanDuel Sportsbook's lines around the Arizona State vs. Washington odds, and make our expert college basketball picks, predictions and best bets.
Coach Bobby Hurley's Sun Devils appear to be on track after a tough December. Arizona State has scored at least 75 points in 3 of their 4 Pac-12 victories as Hurley credits his group's success to playing in a more unselfish manner.
UW finally earned its 1st conference win with a 79-72 victory vs. Oregon State Saturday, snapping a 3-game losing streak but failing to cash as a 12.5-point favorite.

Arizona State at Washington picks and predictions
Prediction
Washington 72, Arizona State 68
Moneyline
I like UW (-310) to win this game because of its home-court advantage, plus coach Mike Hopkins has brought in strong transfers from Kentucky in consecutive years. F Keion Brooks Jr. leads the team -- and is 2nd in the Pac-12 -- with 20.5 points per game (PPG) in his 2nd season with the Huskies. G Sahvir Wheeler, who also played for Kentucky, is the team's 2nd-leading scorer at 15.2 PPG.
However, I wouldn't recommend risking $310 to win $100 in a straight bet. If you like Stanford (-210) to win at Oregon State, you could certainly consider pairing it with UW in a 2-leg ML parlay (+101 at FanDuel Sportsbook).
Otherwise, PASS, and look to the spread and/or total instead.
Against the spread
BACK ARIZONA STATE +6.5 (-102).
The Sun Devils have the 2nd-lowest turnover margin in the Pac-12, so I do not see them getting flustered and letting this game slip away in crunch time. LSU transfer G Adam Miller is getting more in sync with teammates after having to sit out in the beginning of the season due to an eligibility issue. He has three 3-pointers in consecutive games.
Another LSU transfer, 7-foot C Shawn Phillips Jr. should be a key force in the middle of the paint off the bench. The sophomore center missed time with injury, but if he can stay out of foul trouble, he should see double-digit minutes and factor into a close game.

Over/Under
BET UNDER 151.5 (-110).
Coming into Thursday night, G Frankie Collins is No.1 in the Pac-12 in steals (47), 17 more than both Oregon G Jerome Cousinard and USC G Kobe Johnson, who are tied for 2nd. Arizona State also features the top 3-point shooting defense in the Pac-12, allowing opponents to make just 30.4% of their attempts.
Arizona State still ranks last in the conference in FT% and sports the 2nd-lowest 3-point percentage. It's not like the Huskies are on fire from deep either: Wheeler and G Paul Mulcahy are a combined 0-20 from 3-point land since UW's 100-99 OT win over Seattle on Dec. 17.
