Brooklyn Nets vs. Cleveland Cavaliers odds, picks and predictions
The Brooklyn Nets (16-21) and the Cleveland Cavaliers (21-15) meet Thursday at Accor Arena in Paris, France. Tip-off is scheduled for 2 p.m. ET (NBA TV). Let's analyze BetMGM Sportsbook's lines around the Nets vs. Cavaliers odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.
Season series: Cavaliers lead 1-0
The Nets are coming off a disappointing 134-127 OT loss at home against the Portland Trail Blazers despite being 9.5-point favorites. Brooklyn is now just 1-6 straight up (SU) across the past 7 games while going a dismal 2-12 against the spread (ATS) in the previous 14 outings.
The Cavaliers have won 3 in a row heading into the City of Lights, posting 2 covers in those wins. Last time out against the San Antonio Spurs, Cleveland escaped with a 117-115 win but didn't come close to covering as a 10.5-point favorite. The total (232) pushed at most shops, too. The Over is 6-4-1 in the past 11 games for the Cavs.

Nets vs. Cavaliers picks and predictions
Prediction
Cavaliers 117, Nets 108
Moneyline
The CAVALIERS (-155) aren't a bad play as moderate favorites if you just want to declare a winner and forget about the points. Cleveland has been playing much, much better basketball than the Nets (+125) lately, who simply cannot be trusted.
In fact, Brooklyn is 3-11 SU in the past 14 games since Dec. 14. Cleveland has 3 wins in the past 3 games.
Against the spread
The CAVALIERS -3.5 (-105) picked up a 114-113 win against the Nets +3.5 (-115) back on Oct. 25 in the opener for Brooklyn. Oddly enough, Brooklyn covered that night as a 1.5-point underdog. Don't look for such a close game here.
That October game seems so far ago, and these teams have been on opposite paths. The Cavs have endured plenty of injuries but have kept their collective heads above water, while the Nets have spent much of the season at or below .500, sinking well below that mark with their latest ugly stretch of play. Back the better team here, and Cleveland needs to win by just 2 buckets in Paris to cover.
Over/Under
The UNDER 225.5 (-115) will cost you a little extra, and it is the lean. However, don't get carried away.
The total has gone high in the past 2 games for the Nets, as the offense has re-discovered itself somewhat with 125.5 points per game. Of course, 1 of those games went to OT, and both were against Western Conference teams. Overall, the Under is 4-2 in the past 6 games for the Nets.
For the Cavaliers, the Under is 4-2-1 in the past 7 games overall and 9-5 in the past 14 games against Eastern Conference foes. Go low, but go lightly.
