The Rockets have lost 4 of 5 and failed to cover in all 5 after a 124-115 defeat as 8-point dogs to the Philadelphia 76ers Monday. C Alperen Sengun hasn't wavered, averaging 23.3 PPG in 9 games this month, which is his highest month this season.

The Knicks fell 98-94 to the Orlando Magic Monday as 5.5-point favorites. Despite losing 2 of 3, they have still won 6 of 8. G Jalen Brunson (calf) has missed the last 2 games, and he's questionable for this one. With what has been deemed a bruised calf, it would be a moderate surprise if he's not back for this one.

Moneyline

I look for Brunson to return, and the Knicks to prevail. However, the ML is too expensive to consider. SGP KNICKS ML + JALEN BRUNSON OVER 5.5 ASSISTS (-121) for a much better price.

Against the spread

The spread swelled from 4.5 to 5.5 Wednesday morning, and that just brings a bit too much risk for me. There is another prop that stands out to me. Sengun has 10+ rebounds just once in the last 4 games and averages 8.9 per game. The Knicks are 5th in offensive rebounds and total rebounds. So Sengun may have trouble cleaning the glass.

Take ALPEREN SENGUN UNDER 9.5 REBOUNDS (-110).

Over/Under

The Knicks are 2-8 O/U over the last 10, and Houston is 7-3. The Rockets consistently put up 112, and the Knicks expect to get a boost with Brunson's return. The Over is 6-3-1 in the last 10 meetings.

This is a small total, and I'm on board with OVER 219.5 (-115).
