The Thunder have lost back-to-back games straight up and against the spread (ATS). The most recent defeat was as 6-point underdogs in a 128-117 loss at the LA Clippers Tuesday as the Over (240.5) hit.

Utah's game against the Golden State Warriors was postponed after Warriors assistant Dejan Milojevic suffered a heart attack Tuesday and passed away Wednesday morning.

The Jazz have won and covered in 6 straight games.

In a Dec. 11 meeting, the Thunder covered as 13-point home favorites with a 134-120 victory as the Over (236) cashed.

The Thunder (-160) have not lost 3 consecutive games this season. However, I'd rather lay the points than risk $160 to win $100 on the ML.

PASS. Bet the spread and/or total instead.

Against the spread

The Thunder should be extra motivated after back-to-back losses at the Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers. The talent disparity between these teams is enormous as evidenced by the 13-point spread in the Dec. 11 meeting. The Jazz were without F Lauri Markkanen, but that shouldn't drastically change the result this time around.

Regression toward the mean should be expected for Utah after its 6-game win and cover streak. The Jazz are 21st in 3-point percentage on the season at 35.6% but have shot 41.9% over their last 3 games, which is unsustainable. Look for Oklahoma City to come out focused on the defensive end after allowing 128 points last time out and bring Utah back down to its season averages.

We're getting a bit of a discount on the Thunder after 2 straight losses, and the Jazz are being overvalued due to their recent win streak.

BET THUNDER -3.5 (-110).

Over/Under

This total was as high as 249 on Wednesday at 1:36 p.m. ET and has shot back down since. I'd prefer to play the Under in this spot since Utah's hot shooting should come to an end and I'm not looking to fade the line movement, but playing Unders after they've already moved 5.5 points in your direction isn't profitable in the long run.

Simply put, I want no part of the Over in this spot for Utah. LEAN UNDER 244.5 (-115).
