The Hornets dropped their 7th of 8 games Saturday with a 97-89 setback to the Philadelphia 76ers. They were able to cover as 12-point underdogs. G LaMelo Ball (ankle) sat out and is questionable for this one. He's averaging 26.5 PPG, 6.3 APG and 4.8 RPG in 4 games this month.

The T-Wolves snapped a 4-game winning streak with a 102-97 loss as 3-point favorites against the OKC Thunder Saturday. F Karl-Anthony Towns and G Anthony Edwards each had 19 points.

The Wolves beat the Hornets 123-117, barely covering as 5.5-point favorites Dec. 2.

Moneyline

I don't see the Hornets pulling the upset, so there's really nothing to consider on the ML.

I expect Ball to suit up, and he dropped 32 points on the Wolves the last time he saw them in Feb. 2023. He has posted 28, 21, 29 and 28 points in 4 games this month. Take LAMELO BALL OVER 21.5 POINTS (-110).

Against the spread

This is contingent on Ball playing, but I like the Hornets to cover here. They're 7-2-1 ATS in the last 10 games against the T-Wolves. Minnesota is just 12-8 ATS at home, which is OK, but not very inspiring of a 30-12 team.

Take the HORNETS +14.5 (-110).

Over/Under

This is a pretty small total here, and the Over would have cashed in 8 of the last 10 head-to-head matchups. The Hornets are 3-7 O/U over their last 10, and Minnesota is 5-5. I look for Ball and Edwards to push the pace for their respective sides and this to be more of a shootout.
