Season series: Mavericks lead 1-0
The Suns won their 6th straight game but failed to cover as 5-point home favorites in a 115-113 victory vs. the Chicago Bulls Monday as the Under (228.5) hit. F Kevin Durant scored 43 points and hit the game-winner as Phoenix came back from a 23-point 2nd-half deficit.
The Mavericks have lost back-to-back games after failing to cover as 2.5-point home underdogs in a 119-110 loss vs. the Boston Celtics Monday as the Under (240.5) cashed. G Luka Doncic had a triple-double with 33 points, 18 rebounds and 13 assists.

Suns at Mavericks picks and predictions
Prediction
Mavericks 116, Suns 115
Moneyline
Durant has scored 40-plus in back-to-back games, and the Suns are just 0-1-1 ATS in those outings. Despite great performances from Durant, Phoenix is still struggling to meet expectation. They should let down in this spot after an emotional comeback victory, and I don't like Durant's odds to save them for a 3rd straight game.
Irving told reporters after spraining his thumb in the Celtics loss that he didn't anticipate missing any games, so he should be good to go for this one.
Even with Doncic questionable, this line is still a bit too high. The Mavericks are 3-1 in their last 4 games without Doncic, according to Statmuse.com, and 2 of those wins were against respectable teams in the New Orleans Pelicans and the New York Knicks
BET MAVERICKS (+120).
Against the spread
The Mavericks should cover this line, but I prefer taking them ML at plus-money.
PASS.
Over/Under
The Under has hit in 4 straight Suns games and in 13 of 18 for the Mavericks.
Phoenix is 15th in offensive efficiency on the road, and its offense should pull back even further unless Durant can score 40-plus for a 3rd straight game. The Mavericks should also tighten up defensively after back-to-back losses allowing 119 or more points.
This total was 241 overnight, and while we're not getting the best of the number, I still like it to hit.
BET UNDER 240.5 (-110).
