The Magic were dismantled 126-99 by the Cleveland Cavaliers Monday as 2.5-point underdogs. They've lost 6 of 8, but there are promising signs for the young team. The first one is F Paolo Banchero has improved his 3-point shooting from 29.8% last season to 35.4% this year. He has posted 24.8 PPG, 7.2 RPG and 5.3 APG this month.

The Grizzlies have won 2 in a row, including a 105-96 victory over the Miami Heat Wednesday. They entered that one as 11.5-point dogs. F Vince Williams Jr., broke out with 25, including 5-for-6 from 3-point land. He'll need another strong showing as the Grizz are still without a lot of their backcourt.

In the running for "strangest split of the day," Memphis is 4-15 at home and 13-12 on the road. Meanwhile, Orlando is just 9-14 on the road and 14-7 at home.

I don't trust either of these teams.

So I'll take VINCE WILLIAMS JR. OVER 13.5 POINTS (-110) to the bank. He has hit this number in 5 of 6 games, and he's averaging 18 a night during that stretch.

Against the spread

This number came down from 6.5 earlier Friday morning, and remember those trust issues I had? Yeah, they still exist -- at least at 5.5.

So, let's create a pretty conservative SGP that makes a lot of sense. Take VINCE WILLIAMS JR. 10+ POINTS + GRIZZLIES +9.5 (-115).

Over/Under
