Memphis Grizzlies at New York Knicks odds, picks and predictions

The Memphis Grizzlies (18-32) take on the New York Knicks(32-18) Tuesday with tip-off from Madison Square Garden set for 7:30 p.m. ET. Let's analyze BetMGM Sportsbook's lines around the Grizzlies vs. Knicks odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Grizzlies lead 2-1

The Grizzlies are wounded, losers of 5 in a row, and the last 2 have been by 20+ to the Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics. G Scotty Pippen Jr. has received a long look of late and posted 19 points in the last game. He's averaging 13.7 PPG over the last 3 games for the skeleton crew that is the Grizzlies.

The Knicks, who are banged up as well, snapped a 9-game winning streak with a 113-105 loss to the Los Angeles Lakers Saturday. G Jalen Brunson is averaging 34.3 points over the last 4 games with F Julius Randle (shoulder) on the shelf.

Grizzlies at Knicks and predictions

Prediction

Knicks 110, Grizzlies 98

Moneyline

There really isn't a lot to consider in this game except by how much will the Knicks get up in the game and will they take their foot off the gas for the Grizzlies to cover?

There is a prop I'll consider, and it might not look great on the surface considering Brunson has dropped 40 and 36 in the last 2 games. He hasn't hit more than two 3-pointers in the last 4 games. He's 6-for-24 (25%) from deep in the stretch. But his line is at 2.5 triples. Take JALEN BRUNSON UNDER 2.5 3-POINTERS (-120).

Against the spread

Nothing perks you up like hoping the Grizzlies can avoid losing by 15. They haven't been able to the last 2 games, but the Knicks are a rung below GS and BOS offensively -- especially without Randle. Memphis covered 6 straight games before that stretch.

I wouldn't go crazy here, but I could see tossing a small-unit wager on GRIZZLIES +14.5 (-110).

Over/Under

I'm staying away from the total. There's just no point because of the volatility involved in a game a team could get up big and pull its starters.

PASS.
