The Trail Blazers are on a 4-game skid and have failed to cover in 2 straight. Portland almost covered as an 8.5-point home underdog in a 93-84 loss vs. the New Orleans Pelicans Saturday as the Under (220) hit.

In a Jan. 12 meeting, the Timberwolves covered as 16-point home favorites with a 116-93 win over Portland as the Under (220.5) cashed.

There is nothing situationally here that makes me want to lay 8.5 points with Minnesota.

The Timberwolves are coming off 2 blowout road wins over teams that will likely make deep playoff runs and are facing a Trail Blazers team that they beat by 23 roughly a month ago.

I don't see where Minnesota finds the motivation to take this game seriously and win by 9 or more on the 2nd night of a back-to-back.
