New Mexico at San Diego State picks and predictions
Prediction
San Diego State 80, New Mexico 76
Moneyline
PASS.
The Aztecs (-220) will get this victory at home, but it's not worth wagering 2.2 times the potential return. San Diego State should hold serve at home, where it is undefeated this season at 12-0.
These 2 teams both sit 1 game back of Utah State (21-4, 9-3) for the top spot in the Mountain West Conference and can't afford to drop another game back.
Against the spread
BET NEW MEXICO +6.5 (-110).
This game will be tightly contested from start to finish, which is why I love taking the Lobos getting the points. New Mexico has covered the spread in 7 of its last 9 games and is 17-7 ATS on the season.
However, San Diego State will be out for revenge after getting embarrassed in the 1st meeting.

Over/Under
BET OVER 152.5 (-115).
I feel extremely confident in this one. It's hard not to be when these 2 teams are a combined 15-5 when it comes to going Over the total in their last 10 games. The Lobos alone have gone Over in 9 of their last 10.
In their 1st matchup this season, they posted 158 total points. The two teams average a combined 159.7 points per game on the season -- New Mexico ranks 14th in the country with 84.1 PPG, per Covers.com, while San Diego State averages 75.6 PPG.
