Brooklyn Nets at Orlando Magic odds, picks and predictions

The Brooklyn Nets(22-35) take on the Orlando Magic (32-26) Tuesday with tip-off from Kia Center set for 7 p.m. ET. Let's analyze BetMGM Sportsbook's lines around the Nets vs. Magic odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Nets lead 2-0

The Nets come to town fresh off a 111-86 dismantling of the Memphis Grizzlies Monday night. They cruised to the cover as 2.5-point favorites. Seven players scored in double figures, but F Mikal Bridges struggled, shooting 1-for-7 from downtown. He had 11 points in 30 minutes.

Orlando had Monday off after splitting a back-to-back over the weekend. They failed to cover as 8-point favorites in a 112-109 victory over the Detroit Pistons, and they dropped a 109-92 tilt against the Atlanta Hawks Sunday. F Paolo Banchero missed Sunday's game due to illness, and he's questionable for this one.

Nets at Magic and predictions

Prediction

Magic 113, Nets 109

Moneyline

With such a lopsided moneyline, I'm guessing the books assume Banchero will be able to play against a feisty, but talent-deficient Nets roster on the tail end of a back-to-back. The Nets won the first 2 meetings, granted it was at their place, by 20+ points. The Magic are 18-8 at home, so I will give them their due, but this is not a -450 matchup.

One prop stands out to me. Bridges is 2-for-18 (11.1%) from distance over the last 2 games. He has hit 2 or fewer 3-pointers in 3 of 4 games. For the plus-money sizzle, I'll take MIKAL BRIDGES UNDER 2.5 3-POINTERS (+105).

Against the spread

I like the Nets here. Their game Monday night was never in question, and none of their starters played really heavy minutes. If G Cam Thomas is out, that will hurt them offensively, but Brooklyn has won the last 3 matchups and 5 of 6.

Take the NETS +9.5 (-110).

Over/Under

Orlando is 7-3 O/U over the last 10, and Brooklyn is 2-8. The Over has cashed in the 2 meetings this season, and this is the smallest number to hit. I think too much emphasis is being put on Brooklyn playing back-to-back.

Take the OVER 213.5 (-115).
