Predators at Jets projected goalies
Juuse Saros (27-21-4, 2.85 GAA, .907 SV%, 2 SO) vs. Connor Hellebuyck (30-14-3, 2.30 GAA, .922 SV%, 4 SO)
The Preds go as Saros goes. Since the beginning of February, Saros has allowed 3+ goals 4 times, and the team lost 3 of them. One of those was his last start Sunday, which he allowed 4 goals on 33 shots. He had 1 good start against Winnipeg and 1 poor one this season. He stopped 32 of 34 in a 3-2 home win Nov. 26 and allowed 5 goals on 36 shots in a 6-3 road loss Nov. 9.
Hellebuyck had a light, 23-save shutout over the Caps Monday. It snapped a minor 2-game losing streak in which he allowed 9 total goals. It also snapped a string of 5 games he allowed 3+ goals. He has not faced Nashville this season. Last season, he was 3-1-0 with a 1.24 GAA and .957 SV% against the Preds last year.

Predators at Jets picks and predictions
Prediction
Predators 3, Jets 2
Moneyline
The Jets are 22-8-2 at home this year, and Nashville is 19-10-3 on the road. The Preds haven't won in this building since 2020. Nashville is playing well enough that I could see it taking this one. Saros is on his game, and Hellebuyck was a little leaky before the Caps light duty. The thing that worries me is that Nashville is on its 3rd game of a 4-game trip that has taken it from Minnesota to Columbus to north of the border. This matchup is so close, I'll take the value.
Take the PREDATORS +135.
Puck line/Against the spread
I don't usually do this, but in the event Nashville can't get it done on the road, I suggest the insurance here.
Five of the last 10 meetings have ended within a goal. The Jets have scored just 3 empty-net goals on the year as well.
Take the PREDATORS +1.5 (-185) despite the juice.
Over/Under
The Preds are 3-6-1 O/U over the last 10, and Winnipeg is 4-5-1. Over the last 10 meetings, only 4 of them have had 6+ goals -- and only 1 of them in the last 6 has done so. I'm not usually a fan of going south of 5.5, but this is playoff season, and things tighten up defensively. As long as these goalies are in net, take the UNDER 5.5 (-105).
