Girl power didn’t disappear with the demise of the Spice Girls. Instead, it’s alive and well and growing in strength, at least as far as the girls of the Chateauguay Valley Regional High School rugby team in Quebec, Canada, are concerned.

When a teammate was felled by a neck injury while making a tackle during the game, the players took a knee as is customary while she was being attended to. Unfortunately, the injury required the services of an ambulance crew who loaded the girl into the back of their vehicle for the trip to the hospital. But this being rugby, in which playing in mud is often a feature of the game, the ambulance got stuck!

Now, remember that girl power I mentioned? Well, that’s when it came to the fore, as the rugby team put some muscle to the metal, showing true team spirit as they pushed the ambulance out of the mud so their injured teammate could be on her way.
