A survivor of one of the worst school shootings in American history has been honored with a scholarship to law school by the New York Rangers NHL team and the Garden of Dreams Foundation.

Isaiah Márquez-Greene escaped the 2012 atrocity at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut, which claimed the lives of six adults and 20 children, among them, Isaiah’s younger sister, Ana.

Now 18 years old, Isaiah has put the tragedy behnd him and is on his way to the University of Connecticut, where he plans to become a lawyer. And thanks to the generous scholarship, all his school fees will be paid.
