A 6-year-old soccer fan with a rare genetic condition got the shock of a lifetime when his soccer heroes arrived at his school with an incredible invitation.

Isaac was born with Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome, which means he may not be able to see, hear, talk, or walk in the future. He’s already undergone numerous surgeries but remains active, upbeat, and determined to enjoy life to the fullest.

Chief among his passions is soccer. And, like his whole family, he’s a devoted superfan of the English Premier League club, Liverpool. So much so that he went viral with a video of him playing a toy guitar and singing songs popular with crowds at the Reds' Anfield Stadium on match days.

Isaac loves every player in the squad, especially club captain Virgil van Dijk and superstar forward Mo Salah. To help him cope with the stresses of school, he even has stuffed toy versions of the duo with him in the classroom as comforters. Of course, he never expected to meet the players in person. But that’s exactly what happened.

As part of Liverpool’s Red Together program, which celebrates the club’s diverse fanbase and champions inclusivity, van Dijk and Salah surprised Isaac at school with a classroom visit. However, that was just the beginning.
