Watch quick-thinking strangers rescue a terrified boy from a ski lift
A terrified young skier was saved from a frightening fall when he slipped out of a ski lift in Valdesquí, Spain.
Fellow skiers were alerted to the drama by the boy’s screams. They looked up to find the youngster, who was thought to be about 11 years old, dangling from the ski lift several feet above the icy slope.
Once the ski lift was stopped, quick-thinking strangers came up with a plan to rescue the terrified child. Tearing padding from the poles that support the ski lift, about 10 skiers held the material beneath the boy as a makeshift cushion.
After dropping his ski poles, he eventually plucked up the courage to let go...dropping safely into the cushion below unharmed!
