Nothing was going to stop this soccer superfan from scoring during his first time back on the field after beating a rare form of cancer.

Thirteen-year-old Harry Jolley came home from school one day with persistent achy legs and lower back pain. After a series of tests, his parents received devastating news: Harry had been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia. He was immediately withdrawn from school and began six months of intensive treatment.

Not only was he unable to go home, but he also had to give up one of his favorite activities—playing soccer. A passionate fan and dedicated team player, Harry couldn’t wait to return to the game he loved.

After enduring four rounds of chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant, Harry finally made it back onto the field. In the final five minutes of the last game of the season, he was sent in as a substitute. The entire crowd and his teammates erupted in cheers.

If the team didn’t win this game, they faced relegation. Harry stepped onto the field and scored a last-minute winning goal. His teammates rushed to him, celebrating the triumphant return of their friend.

"I couldn't believe I scored the goal. To celebrate with my friends was fantastic," said Harry. "For the rest of the day, I just kept replaying the moment over and over."
