French Open Day 2: TV schedule, key matches
PARIS — The defending champions begin their quests to repeat on Monday, Day 2 of the French Open.
Seven-time champion Rafael Nadal begins his quest for No. 8, and Maria Sharapova goes for No. 2.
Nadal is second up on Court Philippe Chatrier, facing Daniel Brands of Germany, and Sharapova is fourth on the main stadium, against Su-Wei Hseih of Taiwan.
Li Na of China, the 2011 champion, is first up on the main stadium at 5 a.m. ET (11 a.m. in Paris) against Anabel Medina Garrigues of Spain.
A few other matches to watch: No. 5 Tomas Berdych vs. Gael Monfils; No. 6 Jo-Wilfried Tsonga vs. Aljaz Bedene; No. 7 Richard Gasquet vs. Sergiy Stakhovsky; No. 4 Agnieszka Radwanska vs. Shahar Peer; No. 10 Caroline Wozniacki vs. Laura Robson; Carlos Berlocq vs. No. 4 John Isner; Karin Knapp vs. No. 17 Sloane Stephens.
