LONDON — Rafael Nadal was in precision form as he defeated American Donald Young 6-4, 6-2, 7-5 in the second round at Wimbledon on Wednesday.

The only hiccup Nadal experienced was when serving for the match at 5-4 in the third set. The Spaniard surrendered his serve to Young in that 10th game, but rebounded to win the next two games to close out the match.

Nadal, a 15-time Grand Slam champion, was all business the second time he served for the match, winning all four points in quick fashion in that final game.

“I’m just trying to go day-by-day,” Nadal said. “I”m just trying to enjoy every moment and I’m having a great season.
