WIMBLEDON, England — Third seed Roger Federer has yet to drop a set en route to the Wimbledon semifinals. On Wednesday, Federer posted a 6-4, 6-2, 7-6 (4) quarterfinal win over sixth seed Milos Raonic of Canada.

Federer was contesting his 100th Wimbledon match. He now has an 89-11 record.

Federer saved all five break points he offered Raonic, with all coming in the third set. Federer posted 46 winners and only nine unforced errors in the 1-hour, 58-minute encounter.

He has a 10-3 career record over Raonic and is 2-1 against the Canadian at Wimbledon. Raonic won their Wimbledon semifinal last year in five sets to reach his lone Grand Slam final.

At 35, Federer has looked youthful and strong on the court the entire season. In January, after six months away from the game because of a knee injury, Federer won his 18th Grand Slam title at the Australian Open.

He will play 11th seed Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic in the semifinals. Berdych came through an abbreviated 7-6 (2), 2-0 match with second seed Novak Djokovic, who retired with a right elbow injury.

If Federer can win this year’s Wimbledon title, he will become the first man in history to win this tournament eight times. Rafael Nadal became the first man to win 10 titles at the same Grand Slam when he won the French Open last month.
