WIMBLEDON, England — Garbine Muguruza of Spain reached her second career Wimbledon final with a 6-1, 6-1 win over unseeded Magdalena Rybarikova of Slovakia on Thursday.

The 15th seed, Muguruza journeyed to her first Grand Slam final here in 2015, losing out on the title to Serena Williams.

In 2016, Muguruza won her first Grand Slam title at the French Open. This marks her first final at a major since she won in Paris last year.

“I think today I stepped up on the court super confident and everything went well,” Muguruza, 25, said. “Once you're in these situations, you know how to handle these situations better and that was my case today.”

Currently ranked No. 14, Muguruza’s guaranteed to move back into the Top 10 with her result at this Wimbledon. If she goes on to win the title she will move into the Top 5.
