Coming off quite the stunner in the semifinals with a win over World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka, Anisimova is set to take on Iga Swiatek in the women's singles final at Wimbledon on July 12 at 11 a.m. ET.
Anisimova has been on quite a heater at Wimbledon this season. Ranked as the No. 189 player in the world last season, Anisimova has moved up to World No. 4 and is the fourth consecutive American woman to make a major final.
To get to the Wimbledon women's singles final, Anisimova has picked up wins against Yulia Putintseva (first round), Renata Zarazua (second round), Dalma Galfi (third round), Linda Noskova (fourth round), Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (quarterfinals) and Sabalenka (semifinals).
A win for Anisimova would mark the first American to win the women's singles final since Serena Williams did so in 2016. T
