UFC 318 will feature Dustin Poirier, on the eve of his retirement, against Max Holloway for the BMF title in New Orleans on Saturday. This will be the third meeting of their careers.
In April 2025, Poirier announced he would face his longtime rival for what could be his first undisputed title, to be held in his home state of Louisiana, before stepping away from the sport. Poirier enters the ring with a record of 30 wins and 9 losses, while Holloway boasts a record of 26 wins and 8 losses. Poirier first defeated Holloway by submission in the first round in 2012, and again triumphed over Holloway in 2019 by unanimous decision, winning the interim lightweight title.
