Remember when? Bonnie Blair wins third consecutive Olympic gold

Bonnie Blair cemented her status as one of speed skating's all time greats at the 1994 Winter Olympics, winning her third consecutive gold medal in the women's 500.
Blair also won gold in the 1,000 at the Lillehammer Games, defending her title from the 1992 Olympics. With her victories in 1994, Blair became the first American woman to win five gold medals.
"Being able to come to the Olympics, and then to win five gold medals and a bronze – it was something I definitely never dreamed of," Blair said after winning her final career Olympic medal. "All the Olympics I've been in have different meanings, but this one is a little sad. It is my last."
Blair's bronze medal came at the 1988 Calgary Games, when she finished third in the 1,000.
"I seem to skate my best in Olympic years," Blair said. "It must be something about the Olympics that gets me going a little more."
