Daredevil squirrel avoids deadly encounter with Daniela Ulbing's snowboard at Olympics

A reckless South Korean squirrel with a death wish avoided an ugly end after running into the path of Austrian snowboarder Daniela Ulbing during Saturday's parallel giant slalom at Phoenix Park.

Ulbing maintained her composure when the rodent appeared out of nowhere. She somehow steered her board around the squirrel, which briefly froze before scampering off the course, no doubt in search of alcohol.

Ulbing went on to win her heat.
