WNBA Finals schedule: Bracket, scores and results as Liberty battle Lynx

The New York Liberty lead the 2024 WNBA Finals 2-1 after beating the Minnesota Lynx on the road Wednesday night.

In Game 1, the Lynx surprised New York with a 95-93 overtime win at the Barclays Center, taking the lead in the series from the start. Napheesa Collier's stellar performance, scoring 21 points and grabbing eight rebounds, was a game-changer, giving Minnesota the edge.

In Game 2, the New York Liberty secured an impressive 80-66 victory, bouncing back from their tough loss. Breanna Stewart's outstanding performance, with 21 points, eight rebounds, and five assists, was pivotal in the Lynx's success. Additionally, Betnijah Laney-Hamilton contributed 20 points, further solidifying the Liberty's triumph over the Lynx.

In Game 3, the Lynx led most of the game in Minneapolis but the Liberty rallied in the fourth quarter before winning 80-77. Jonquel Jones made a layup off an assist from Sabrina Ionescu to take the 74-73 lead. Ionescu nailed a 28-foot three-point shot to complete the 15-point comeback and secure the victory. Breanna Stewart had a game-high 30 points and 11 rebounds for New York.

In Game 4, Guard Kayla McBride led the Lynx with 19 points in the 82-80 victory Friday night, while forward Napheesa Collier contributed 14 points and nine rebounds for Minnesota. All five Lynx starters scored in double figures. Courtney Williams scored 15 points and added seven assists, and Bridget Carleton and Alanna Smith tallied 12 points apiece. Center Jonquel Jones led the Liberty with a game-high 21 points and eight rebounds in the loss. Breanna Stewart followed up her 30-point performance from Wednesday with 11 points and 11 rebounds in Game 4. Stewart struggled from the floor, shooting just 5-for-21 from the field.
