The Las Vegas Aces fell short of a three-peat in 2024 after falling to the eventual champion New York Liberty in the WNBA semifinals 3-1. League MVP A'ja Wilson had the best year of her impressive WNBA career in 2024.
The Aces center averaged a league- and career-high 26.9 points per game in 2024. Her 11.9 rebounds per game was also a career-best and marked the first time the three-time MVP averaged a double-double over an entire season. She also finished second in Defensive Player of the Year voting behind a career-best 2.6 blocks per game.
She improved in nearly every statistical category as the Aces went 27-13 in the regular season. They'll be looking to make their fifth WNBA Finals in the last seven years this season. It won't be easy to start, as Las Vegas is set to take on the Liberty to open the regular season.
