Round 1 (No. 1 overall) — Paige Bueckers, guard, Connecticut: Bueckers overcame two serious knee injuries during her career at Connecticut and ultimately led the Huskies to their first national championship in eight years. Bueckers, a three-time first-team AP All-American, is not only a walking bucket, but she is a walking advertisement with some of the nation’s most recognizable brand names vying for her services. Round 1 (12, from New York Liberty) — Aziaha James, guard, NC State: The 5-foot-10 guard averaged career-highs in points (17.9), field-goal percentage (44.5%) and rebounds (4.9) in her fourth and final year at NC State. James is a threat from beyond the arc, shooting 33.3% from three. She led the Wolfpack to the Final Four in 2024 and the Elite Eight in this year's tournament.
