Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark has been ruled out of Thursday’s game against the Las Vegas Aces.
Clark will miss her third consecutive game due to a right groin injury suffered in the Fever's win over the Connecticut Sun on July 15. There's no timetable for her return, but the Fever confirmed Thursday that the medical evaluations Clark underwent earlier this week in New York showed "no additional injuries or damage."
The Fever said they will be cautious with Clark as she continues to rehab and recover, adding that the team will place a "priority on her long-term health and well-being" as the second half of the season resumes.
Thursday will mark the 12th regular-season game Clark has missed this season due to injury. Clark was previously sidelined five games due to a left quad injury and four games with a left groin injury, in addition to the Fever's Commissioner's Cup win over the Minnesota Lynx on July 1, the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game and 3-point competition.

No. Clark was not listed as a probable starter for Thursday's game on the team's website and was officially downgraded to out.
How was Caitlin Clark injured?
Clark suffered the groin injury in the final minute of the Fever's 85-77 victory over the Sun in TD Garden in Boston on July 15. With 39.1 seconds remaining in the contest, Clark completed a bounce pass to Kelsey Mitchell to go up 84-75. After the pass, Clark immediately grabbed for her right groin and grimaced as she gingerly walked over to a stanchion, which she head butted. She did not return to the game.
The injury happened days before the Fever were set to host the 2025 WNBA All-Star weekend in Indianapolis. Clark was voted a team captain and drafted her own team, but she ultimately pulled out of the All-Star game and 3-point contest due to injuries, stating, "I have to rest my body."
Fever coach Stephanie White told reporters on Sunday that Clark was going to get another opinion from a doctor regarding her injury. White spoke to the media again on Tuesday before the Fever's game against the New York Liberty, saying that Clark had traveled with the team to visit a doctor in the morning.
"The team can confirm that no additional injuries or damage were discovered through the evaluations," the Fever said in a news release on Thursday.
