Tech stocks: BlackBerry earnings out this week
This Friday, investors might learn more about the performance of BlackBerry 10 devices. Here's a look at the technology stocks to watch on Monday.
BlackBerry earnings out this week. Shares of the Canadian smartphone maker are down 1.3% in pre-market trading ahead of Friday's first-quarter earnings report.
Last month, BlackBerry released the Q10 smartphone in the U.S. The device combines a modern touchscreen with the smartphone's signature QWERTY keyboard.
The launch followed the arrival of the BlackBerry Z10 last spring. That device joined rivals such as Apple's iPhone and Samsung's Galaxy S series in sporting a full touchscreen.
Slow start for tech. The majority of key technology stocks are down as the markets get ready to open. Among the companies posting the biggest early losses: Nokia shares are down 3%, while professional social network LinkedIn is down 1.42%.
