Tech Five: Google launches budget phones in India
A tech giant makes the leap into the emerging smartphone market in India. Let's look at the five tech stocks to watch Monday.
Google. The company launched its budget Android One smartphones in India, reports BBC. All smartphones launched in India have a minimum 4.5-inch display, 1 GB of RAM and a quad-core processor. The smartphone program is expected to expand to other Asian markets, but Google does not have plans to launch Android One elsewhere.
Netflix. The streaming media giant continues its European expansion, launching in France, reports The Next Web. Other countries that are part of Netflix's new expansion include Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The service is already available in more than 40 countries, including the UK and Sweden.
Microsoft. Is this the day the tech giant reveals a major acquisition? According to Reuters, Microsoft plans on confirming its deal to acquire Minecraft creator Mojang AB for $2.5 billion.
Adobe.The software company reports third quarter earnings after the markets close Tuesday. The company is expected to report an earnings per share of 26 cents off $1 billion in revenue, according to analyst estimates compiled by Bloomberg.
Nokia. Shares of the tech company are up 1.7% in pre-market trading after Oppenheimer upgraded its stock to "outperform," reports CNBC.
