Tech Five: Google expands Shopping Express
Tech giant Google is branching out with its Shopping Express service. Let's look at the technology stocks to watch Tuesday:
Google. The company confirmed its delivery service will expand to three additional cities: Boston, Chicago and Washington, D.C. They're also adding more merchants, including Barnes and Noble, PetSmart and Sports Authority. Shopping Express allows users to order items from participating stores and have them delivered the same or next day. It costs $10 a month.
Intel. The chip maker reports third quarter earnings after the bell Tuesday. Last quarter, Intel earned 55 cents per share off sales of $13.8 billion, topping Wall Street forecasts.
Apple. This Thursday, Apple is expected to reveal its latest iPad tablet and more details on the Yosemite operating system for Macs. What won't appear -- according to Re/code -- is a new Macbook Air with Retina Display.
Microsoft. The company revealed more than 1 million people have joined its Windows Insider program, which allows users to test out its Windows 10 operating system.
Amazon. Following a report that it was planning to open a store in New York, GeekWire reports they will open a retail outlet in San Francisco. The store will open inside an upscale mall downtown.
