iPad user guide tips to new tablets

Apple's event isn't until tomorrow, but if you want a peek at what Apple's new iPads will look like you can see it today on the iTunes Store.

It appears as if someone at Apple published a user guide for Apple's forthcoming iOS 8.1 update that's expected to be unveiled tomorrow, with iTunes showing off the new devices for all to see as part of the book's screenshots.

First spotted by Mark Gurman at 9to5Mac, the leak shows the new tablets keeping a similar design to the current iPad Air and iPad Mini. While the download of the user guide shows older iPad models, the leak appears to be in the iTunes listing. Screenshots in the software's preview clearly depict the company's next tablets.

The picture confirms that Apple will indeed be updating both the iPad Air and iPad Mini tomorrow and that both devices will be adding the Touch ID fingerprint sensor found on the iPhone. The new iPads, called the iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 respectively, also appear to be getting camera improvements including the addition of a Burst Mode to the iPad Air 2.

Apple's iOS 8.1 update is expected to bring features like Continuity to the iPhone and iPad (the ability to continue activities when switching between iPhone, iPad and Mac) and Apple Pay to the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus. It remains to be seen if Apple will add Apple Pay to the new iPads as well.

In addition to the new iPads and iOS 8.1, Apple is also expected to unveil new iMacs to go with the latest Mac OS X operating system, OS X Yosemite, as well as more details on Apple Pay.

USA Today will have full coverage of Apple's event on Thursday so make sure to check back then.
