Tech Five: Twitter to host analyst day

It's an important day for social network Twitter. Let's take a look at the technology stocks to watch Wednesday:

Twitter. The company hosts a financial analyst day in San Francisco, where CEO Dick Costolo and other executives will outline Twitter's strategy and vision. One of the key questions Twitter may answer is how it plans to speed up user growth. Last quarter, Twitter's monthly active user base grew 4.8%, representing a slower rate of growth from the previous quarter.

Cisco. The networking giant reports first quarter earnings after the markets close Wednesday. The company is forecast to report an earnings per share of 53 cents off $12.16 billion in revenue.

Yahoo. Investors are reportedly very unhappy with CEO Marissa Mayer. Reuters reports shareholders are reaching out to AOL chief Tim Armstrong to consider a merger of the two companies. Neither company provided comment on the report.

Comcast. The cable giant says they agree with President Obama's plan for net neutrality, but won't support a move that would reclassify broadband as a vital service. "Doing so would harm future innovation and investment in broadband and is not necessary to put in place strong and enforceable Open Internet protections," says Comcast's statement.

Netflix. iPhone 6 Plus owners will now be able to view content from the streaming media titan in full 1080p resolution. Netflix rolled out an app update to optimize the experience on the iPhone 6 Plus and iPhone 6.
