Tech Five: New details surface on Apple Watch
The launch of a tool for developers has revealed some interesting details on Apple's upcoming smartwatch. Let's take a look at the tech stocks to watch Wednesday:
Apple. The company released WatchKit, its software kit for developers of the Apple Watch. The Verge breaks down how the watch will work when it launches next year, including multiple watch notifications and static maps that aren't interactive. The report also notes apps native to the watch will arrive next year.
Netflix. The streaming media giant will make its debut in Australia and New Zealand in March 2015. The service currently boasts more than 53 million members worldwide.
Facebook. Following the footsteps of Messenger, Facebook launched a standalone app devoted to Groups. The app is available for both Android and iOS devices.
Salesforce. The cloud computing company will report third quarter results after the markets close Wednesday. Last quarter, Salesforce reported revenue of $1.32 billion, up 38% compared to last year.
Twitter. The social network's search function grew even more powerful. The company announced it has indexed every public tweet since 2006.
