Oracle acquires data tracking firm Datalogix

Software giant Oracle announced it has acquired Datalogix, a data company specializing in audience tracking, for an undisclosed amount.

Datalogix focuses on "data as a service," and works with companies including Ford, Kraft, Facebook and Twitter. The company will become part of Oracle's Data Cloud when the deal closes. Until then, Datalogix will continue to operate independently.

"The addition of Datalogix to the Oracle Data Cloud will provide data-driven marketers the most valuable targeting and measurement solution available," said Omar Tawakol, Group Vice President and General Manager of Oracle Data Cloud, in a statement.

Shares of Oracle were flat in morning trading.
