High-tech infant seat mimics moving car

LAS VEGAS – Technology geared toward parents is a big trend at the International CES 2015.

Walk around the massive showroom floor at the Las Vegas Convention Center and you'll find dozens of products making it easier for us to comfort our little ones.

The mamaRoo baby seat from 4Moms emulates the movement of a mother cradling an infant in her arms.

"We actually put sensors on parents to see how they move and that's exactly what the five different unique motions are," explained MamaRoo product manager, Bryan Coles.

New this year at the International CES is the mamaRoo app that controls everything from the motion to the speed, to the soothing sounds that come from built-in speakers.

The Petcube lets you interact with your furry friends when you're far from home using a camera and app-controlled laser. It's just one of several standout gadgets for parents and pets at CES 2015.

"You can also plug your smart device into the mamaRoo, too, to get your own custom sound if you'd like," said Coles.

Of course, pet owners consider themselves parents, too. It's not easy leaving our furry friends home alone. That's where the Petcube comes in.

"It's a home camera for pet owners. Inside of it is a wide angle camera, a speaker, a microphone and moveable laser pointer," explained Petcube CEO and co-founder, Yaroslav Azhnyuk.

Users can activate the camera, watch video of their pets and talk to them using an app on their smart phones. They can even control a laser by simply touching the screen. Wherever your finger goes, the laser follows, keeping your pets thoroughly entertained.
