SXSW @Night: Austin goes wild after dark
AUSTIN - After sitting in workshops all day listening to talks about the future of technology, at night, the folks from SXSW go wild.
There are party locales all over Austin, as digital giants like Pandora, Facebook, Funny or Die, Lyft, eSurance, Pinterestm Samsung and others have taken over local bars and homes to stage loud parties aimed at the visiting digerati.
Why bother? Austin's 6th Street is one wild, raucous party, as attendees walk up and down the carless walkway.
We saw a violin playing Wolfman, a bikini clad Catwoman, a bearded Batman, a half-naked man adorned with an American flag outfit and a bass, and of course, music was playing everywhere and booze was flowing.
