Tech Five: How will GoDaddy do on Day 2?
Can GoDaddy stock pull off an encore on its second day of Wall Street trading? Let's take a look at the technology stocks to watch Thursday:
GoDaddy. Shares of the Web hosting service are up a more modest 1% in pre-market trading following an explosive debut Wednesday, as shares closed up 31%. After offering initial shares at $17 to $19 a piece, GoDaddy's stock price is trading above $26.
Facebook. The social network unveiled the creative tool Riff, allowing users to make videos with their friends. Here's how it works: one user creates a video and topic, then passes it along to friends who can contribute their own clips. The app will appear on Android and iOS devices.
Google. The European Union is moving closer to filing antitrust charges against the tech giant, reports The Wall Street Journal. The EU is reportedly asking companies for permission to publish complaints that were originally submitted confidentially.
Apple. The company wants networks to foot the bill for the infrastructure to stream shows for its upcoming TV service, according to Re/code. Citing industry executives, the report says Apple is hoping to launch the service this fall.
IBM. The company launched eight more enterprise apps tied to its partnership with Apple, reports 9to5Mac. The iPhone and iPad apps are focused on healthcare and industrial products.
