Apple's developers conference kicks off June 8
Apple announced it will kick off its annual Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco on June 8.
The tech giant says the event -- which offers developers a first look at the next versions of OS X for desktops and laptops and iOS for the iPhone and iPad -- will run through June 12.
"We've got incredible new technologies for iOS and OS X to share with developers at WWDC and around the world, and can't wait to see the next generation of apps they create," said Philip Schiller, Apple's senior vice president of marketing, in a statement.
Apple uses the keynote at WWDC to reveal key details on its OS X and iOS platforms. Last year, Apple unveiled iOS 8, which boasted new features such as the HealthKit for developers to create health-focused apps.
This year, Apple could provide more details on the Beats Music subscription service. Earlier this month, multiple reports suggested Apple was wooing musicians including Taylor Swift to offer exclusive tracks.
