Tech Five: Alibaba jumps off revenue boost


It's a busy morning for Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba. Let's take a look at the technology stocks to watch Thursday:

Alibaba. Shares soared 10% in pre-market trading after the company reported a 45% jump in revenue to $2.81 billion during the last quarter. Alibaba also announced chief operating officer Daniel Zhang will become the next CEO.

Priceline Group. Shares of the travel giant dipped 3.3% after reporting first quarter earnings ahead of the market open. Priceline reported earnings per share of $8.12, topping analyst forecasts.

Nvidia. The chip maker will report fourth-quarter and fiscal-year results after the markets close Thursday. Wall Street projects $1.16 billion in revenue and earnings of 26 cents a share.

Tesla. Founder and CEO Elon Musk says he hopes Apple jumps into the electric car business. Musk says he's even opened up Tesla patents to competitors.

AOL. On Friday, the media company reports first quarter earnings. Analysts forecast earnings per share of 32 cents off $595 million in revenue.
