Tech Five: Facebook now more valuable than Walmart

Facebook's market cap was pushed up to $238 billion Monday and is now worth more than Walmart, one of the world's largest retailers.

Let's take a look at the tech stocks to watch Tuesday:

Facebook (FB)

Facebook pushed Walmart out of the top-10 largest companies by market capitalization, according to The Wall Street Journal. Walmart has not finished a year outside the top-10 S&P 500 companies by market cap since 1997. Facebook shares were up about 3% as of Tuesday morning trading.

Blackberry announced increased software revenue along with a loss for the first quarter of fiscal year 2016. Shares rose more than 8% in pre-market trading, however fell down 3% by early Tuesday afternoon.

Oracle (ORCL)

In an effort to more directly compete with Amazon.com, Oracle announced that it is expanding its cloud-based offerings, according to CNBC. Shares were slightly up in pre-market trading.

Apple (AAPL)

Apple's new streaming service got quite the PR boost from Taylor Swift early this week. The pop star wrote an open letter to Apple and convinced the tech behemoth to pay royalties to artist's during the three-month free trial period of Apple Music.

Fitbit (FIT)

Shares of Fitbit are still surging, continuing on a momentum that began Thursday after the company went public. As of morning trading, shares were up about 13%.
